Obituary of Ruth Goldschmidt

Westport, Conn.

Ruth Goldschmidt of Westport died April 29, 2017. She was 59. 

She was born May 8, 1957 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She graduated from Boston College with a BSN in nursing, and from Fairfield University as an APRN with an MSN in family nursing.

As a young woman living in Boston, she loved to travel to Europe and used every opportunity and vacation days to do.

For some time she also lived in Panama, Germany, and Belgium

She enjoyed listening to smooth jazz, Motown, and classic rock. Nothing gave her more pleasure and fun than a good night of music and dancing. 

She loved to walk and truly enjoyed the Westport beaches, as well as being an avid animal lover, always having a dog in her house. 

She was predeceased by her son, Eric, and her father, Ernie Klemm. She is survived by her mother, Jane Klemm from Albany, New York, her husband, Patrick, of Westport and daughter, Monika of Austin, Texas; her sisters, Lisa Kitchell, and her husband, Mark, of Madison,  and Karen Klemm of Denver, Colorado, her brother, Ernie Klemm, of Albany, New York, and her sister-in-law, Deborah Brody; also by four nieces and three nephews. 

Burial will be held at Willowbrook Cemetery on Saturday, May 6 at 11:30 a.m. for family and close friends.

In lien of flowers, please make contributions to the Westport Humane Society.
