WESTON, CONN Alan Warner, a beloved father and grandfather, peacefully passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023, He was 86. Raised in Lawrence, N.Y., Alan graduated from Cheshire Academy and the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania at 20 years old. Alan then followed in his father’s footsteps and became a CPA and entrepreneur. After working as a CPA in New York City, Alan married and welcomed his daughter, Lisa. He had been a longtime Westport resident. Alan was known for his quick-witted humor, generosity to friends and charities, and his love for family. Alan made every moment count. He spent many nights at the White House, attended presidential inaugurations, was the CPA for Willie Mays and met Muhammad Ali. Alan continuously said, “I can’t make this stuff up.” After retiring, he shared his love for horses and Sunday football with his granddaughters and started riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. Alan is survived by his beloved daughter, Lisa (Rich) and three granddaughters, Lindsay, Ashley and Kylie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ida Warshawsky and his wife, Linda Leventhal Warner. The funeral will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 11 a.m., graveside at Willowbrook Cemetery in Westport. In lieu of giving flowers, the family asks that those who are able instead make a donation to the Conservative Synagogue of Westport.
