Obituary of Jane M. Therrien

SIMSBURY, CONN Jane Therrien, 92, of Danbury, Connecticut, passed away on September 22, 2025. She was born in Danbury on March 12, 1933, daughter to Vital Lajoie and Stacia Lajoie (Sacco). She was a 1950 graduate of Danbury High School. Jane was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished spending time with her family. She worked as an administrative assistant for decades at Perkin Elmer in Norwalk and in later years worked at Physician Health Services in Shelton and then retired from Casey Family Services in New Haven in 2007. Recently, she enjoyed reading and working on puzzle books, simple joys that brought her comfort and fulfillment throughout her life. She was predeceased by her oldest daughter, Linda Therrien. She is survived by her four children, Irene McDonald (Tom), Joanne Smith (Kevin), Ray Therrien, Daryl Therrien (Brandy), 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Burial Service will be private in Willowbrook Cemetery, 395 Main Street, Westport, Conn. Memorial contributions may be made in Jane’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Carmon Funeral Home is directing the arrangements. She will be remembered, with love, by all who knew her.
