Obituary of Robert K. Gill

HONOLULU, HI Robert K Gill October 1955 - February 2025 Robert (Bob) passed away peacefully this past February in his beloved Honolulu, Hawaii. In 1963, the Gill family move to Westport, Connecticut. Bob graduated Staples High School, Class of 1973. Then, while on a gymnastic scholarship at Arizona State University, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Education. Bob first taught in the Los Angeles public school district, followed by the Honolulu public schools. Although he split his time between Connecticut and Hawaii, the North Shore, with its culture and surfing challenge soon became his home. Bob had a terrific outlook on life and enjoyed the road less traveled. As an actor, model, house painter, and educator, he was an inspiration to many and will be dearly missed. Bob is survived by his siblings Jeffrey, Steven (Sally), and Kirsten Bartie (Steve). He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Olivia, and his brother Gary. A memorial will be held on Sunday, October 12 at 11:45 AM at the Willowbrook Cemetery in Westport, Connecticut. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Connecticut Humane Society.
