Obituary of Frances M. Palazzo

GLASTONBURY, CONN Frances “Fran” Palazzo, passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on December 1, 2025. She is survived by her three children, John & wife Lorilee, Toni & husband Joseph, and Mark. Also, her six grandchildren, Kristin, Chelsea, Joey, Zachary, Victoria, and Nicholas. She is also survived by her brother John & wife Leola Fitteron. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, John Palazzo & her beloved brother Joseph Fitteron. Fran was born in Norwalk on February 21, 1939, the eldest child of Olivia and Joseph Fitteron. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy during which time she worked at First National Supermarket in Westport where she met her future husband. Early years were spent on Lincoln Ave in South Norwalk & Saugatuck Avenue in Westport before moving to Weston where they raised their three children and lived happily for over 40 years. For decades the Palazzo home hosted large holiday gatherings and Fran was never happier than when the family gathered around the table. Fran had the opportunity to work as the Office Manager for the dental practice of Dr. Anthony Salvato for almost 20 years. She found working to be incredibly rewarding and spoke very fondly about this period of her life. For more than 35 years, Fran was active and volunteered at St. Francis Parish in Weston, teaching CCD, becoming a Eucharistic Minister and providing food and service at senior luncheons – even when she was a senior herself. Many lifelong friendships were formed through her service at St. Francis. Fran always said she was married to the love of her life. Although her family will miss her, they take great comfort that she is now home with her beloved John. Calling hours will be held Thursday, December 11 from 5-7pm at Bouton Funeral Home, 31 West Church St., Georgetown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 12 at 10am at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 35 Norfield Rd, Weston. Burial will take place at Willowbrook Cemetery, Westport.
