Obituary of Victoria Ling Moran

SHELTON, CONN
Victoria (“Vickie”) Ling Moran of Shelton, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 20, 2025, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Vickie spent the last week of her life surrounded by her beloved husband of 48 years, Donald F. Moran, and her family and loved ones. Vickie was born Victoria Kathryn Ling on December 18, 1945, in North Plainfield, New Jersey, named for the victory at the end of the War; the first child of James Choh-Chun Ling and Juliet Tchou Ling, formerly of Stratford. Vickie was a vibrant, loving, and energetic woman who played the important roles of a loving wife, kind friend, a caring big sister, and a doting aunt. Vickie had an extraordinary life, living in Long Island, New York, New Jersey, Hong Kong, California, Florida, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Vickie had a successful 30-year career in the Corporate Executive Offices of the General Electric Company in Fairfield, Connecticut. She spent many years caring for her parents in Stratford. In her retirement, Vickie was active in several charitable organizations in Fairfield County. Vickie enjoyed painting and playing the piano, but most of all, she loved gathering her family at her home, cooking, and enjoying treasured times with her family and loved ones.
In addition to her husband Donald, she is survived by her sister, Virginia Ling Hyland and partner, Christopher Wardrum; of St. Petersburg, Florida; her brother, Dennis Ling and spouse, Janice Teal of Naples, Florida; and her sister-in-law, Patricia K. Moran Lenihan of Monroe. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews; Devin Hyland and spouse, Janne; Christopher Hyland and spouse, Traci; Matthew Ling and spouse, Abigail Conrad; James Ling and partner, Christina Ferreri; Kathryn Ling, and eleven nieces and nephews of the Lenihan & Moran family. Vickie is also survived by many cousins, grand-nieces and nephews, and members of the Ling, Tchou, Moran, and Lenihan families. She was predeceased by her parents.
Friends may greet the family on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on January 3rd, 2026. Interment will follow in Willowbrook Cemetery, Westport.
