WILTON, CONN
Linda Joan Aiello, 78, passed away on January 19, 2026, in Wilton, Connecticut. Born on March 12, 1947, in Newark, New Jersey, Linda grew up in Irvington, and later relocated to Barnegat, NJ where she spent most of her career and raised her family.
Linda devoted 35 years to her calling as an elementary school teacher, shaping young lives with patience, kindness, and passion. She was known by colleagues, students, and families as an extraordinary educator who cared deeply for every child who entered her classroom.
Linda was predeceased by her beloved parents, Morris Saden and Esther Saden. She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Joseph Aiello; her daughter, Stefanie Aiello Blum, and son-in-law, Wayne Blum; her son, Josh Aiello, and daughter-in-law, Sejal Shah; and her four cherished granddaughters Mena, Priya, Sasha, and Mira, who were the joy of her life.
Linda’s passions were simple, joyful, and full of heart: family, Florida, collecting shells and sea glass along the beach, reading People magazine and mystery novels, and indulging in chocolate, ice cream, and any sweet treat she could get her hands on. She enjoyed dancing, eating out, and celebrating, especially when it meant being surrounded by those she loved.
Kind, passionate, loyal, and funny, Linda had a way of making people feel instantly welcome. Family meant everything to her. She will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, and an incredible teacher whose impact will be felt for generations.
A funeral service will take place directly at Willowbrook Cemetery located at 395 Main Street, Westport, CT 06880 on Thursday, January 22 at 1:00 p.m.
