Obituary of Nancy L. Sica

TRUMBULL, CONN Nancy Pike Sica, age 82, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Xavier "Sam" Sica, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Cambridge Manor surrounded by her loving family. Born in Stamford on August 9, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Charles Russell and Elizabeth Theresa (Gabriel) Pike and was a long-term resident of Norwalk before moving to Trumbull. Nancy devoted her professional life to children as a teacher's aide in the Norwalk, CT school system. After retiring, she embraced her most cherished role as grandmother, pouring her heart into caring for her grandchildren. Her home was always open, her table always full, and her cooking was something no one will ever forget. She loved to travel with her friends, and no matter what the sport or dance recital, she was there cheering her grandchildren on. She also had a special place in her heart for her beloved dogs. Together with Sam, she shared over 60 years of marriage and built a family - that was her greatest pride. She is survived by her children Joseph Sica and wife JoAnn of North Haven; Dana Kubicko and husband John of Trumbull; Russell Sica and wife Kelly of Trumbull. She is also survived by a brother Charles Pike and his wife Charlotte, a sister Elizabeth Watkins and her husband Herbert, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Michael Sica, Brian Sica and his wife Regine, Brittany Kubicko, Meagan Kubicko, Sara Kubicko, Brendon Sica and Tommy Sica. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main St. Trumbull, CT. Entombment will follow at Willowbrook Cemetery, 395 Main St. Westport, CT. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT.
