Obituary of Ursula R. Hermenze
DALLAS, OR
Ursula Runge Hermenze of Westport died August 6, 2018 while visiting her son, Stephen, in Oregon. She was 94.
She was born in Niesky, Germany on November 27, 1923 and came to the United States in 1927. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Valeria Runge and the wife of the late Frank Hermenze.
She had a long, fine run at life. Julliard graduate, excellent pianist and piano teacher, hole in one golfer, chairman of the Rules Committee for the Longshore Women’s Golf Association, devoted wife and mother of two sons.
Survivors include her sons, Richard and Stephen, her grandson Victor, her granddaughter Katie, and 14 nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a funeral service on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 1 p.m. here at Willowbrook Cemetery, 395 Main St., with a reception to follow.
The Harding's of Westport are directing the local arrangements.
