Obituary of Chase D. Lasswell
Ridgefield, Conn.
Chase Gerhardt-Lasswell , 22, born on February 1,1995 in Tucson, AZ died unexpectedly on May 9, 2017, in his hometown of Ridgefield, CT.
Chase was a loving son and best friend to his mother, Teena Gerhardt.
He was a graduate of Ridgefield High School and played all types of sports throughout his school years excelling in Tennis. Chase attended Norwalk Community College with plans on transferring to
Sacred Heart University to pursue journalism.
Chase was very passionate about writing, his last New Years Resolution was to write a novel containing 40,000 words.
He loved to read, whether is was poetry such as Shakespeare or books on learning about other cultures of interest to him.
Chase would sit at his desk writing poems and short stories, he was so smart and had a way with words.
I will treasure and continue to read all the cards he wrote to me with words of inspiration, strentgh and love.
Chase loved going off shore fishing in South Miami. He also enjoyed any chance to go fishing or hiking with his friends.
Chase had a passion for music and started taking guitar lessons learning to play his favorite songs.
He loved walking in the rain feeling the rain drops touching his face, being near the ocean and found peace looking up
to the moon and stars.
Chase left this world way too soon, he truly was a kind and genuine son, relative and friend for those fortunate to have known him.
I love you, Mom.
