WESTPORT, CONN

Kimberly Sholty of Westport, the devoted and much loved wife of Joseph Martens and mother of two sons, Jack and Finn, died on Friday, November 23rd, 2018 following a brief illness. 

Kim grew up in Old Westbury on Long Island, New York. She graduated with honors from Jericho High School and completed her degree in finance at the University of Florida before pursuing a successful career on Wall Street. She met and married the love of her life, Joe Martens and together they chose to raise their family in Westport, Connecticut. 

Kim enjoyed giving back to her community. She was a regular volunteer at Coleytown Elementary School and active in their PTA. Kim was also an admired leader in Boy Scouts of America Troop 100, Westport. She served as the Director of the troop’s fundraising efforts and as an Assistant Scoutmaster.

Kim will be deeply missed by her loving family, sisters, brother, mother-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. She will be remembered most for her deep devotion to family and her infectious laughter. 

The family will receive friends in the Harding Funeral Home 210 Post road East, Westport, CT on Monday November 26, 2018 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. Friends are invited to attend a funeral on Tuesday November 27, 2018 at 10:00 AM meeting directly at St. Luke Church 49 Turkey Hill Road North, Westport, CT. 

BURIAL will take place at Willowbrook Cemetery, Westport.
