Obituary of Viorica Letitia Neagu

TRUMBULL, CONN

Viorica Letitia Buricescu Neagu, age 94, of Fairfield, wife of the late Camil Neagu, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017. 

Born in Ostrov, Romania, Mrs. Neagu was a longtime area resident. She had most recently worked for the Ed Mitchell Co. in Westport until her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter, Cristina Ionescu and her husband Alex of Fairfield, grandchildren, Bob Ionescu and his wife Alla and Bogdan Georgescu and his wife Roz, great grandchildren Matthew and Stephanie Ionescu and Nicholas and Amanda Georgescu, a son in law Mihail Georgescu; a nephew Costin Bobes and family, Anca Bobes and Maruca Cantacuzino. Viorica was predeceased by her daughter Daniela Georgescu.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 am in St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 West Rocks Rd., Norwalk with burial to follow in Willowbrook Cemetery, Westport.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4-8 pm in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Brancoveanu Martyrs Romanian Orthodox Church.
