Obituary of Delores J. Boone

NORWALK, CONN.

Delores J. Boone, 81, transitioned peacefully on May 11, 2018 at Norwalk Hospital.

She was born on April 23, 1937 in Farmville, North Carolina to Theodore Underhill and Lillie Bell Barrett Underhill. Delores retired from MBI Inc. of Norwalk after numerous years of service.

Her memory will be treasured by two daughters; Deidre "Dee" Boone and Rewa Mercer, four sisters; Joyce Rodgers, Melba Vines (Frank), Barbara Walker and Janice Faye Pope (George), one brother; Ivory Underhill, two sisters-in-law; Delores Underhill and LaVerne Underhill and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. followed by a service of celebration at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 21 Concord St., Norwalk, CT, with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey A. Ingraham officiating.

Interment will follow at Willowbrook Cemetery, Westport.
