Obituary of Julie C. Halka

WESTPORT, CONN

Julie Halka, age 57, daughter of the late Salvatore and Stephanie Carusone, and wife of Peter Halka, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2018 at her home in Westport, CT, surrounded by her loving family.

Julie was born on July 24, 1961 in Formicola, Caserta Italy and immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of 6. She was a dedicated homemaker and devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her mother until she passed away at age 77.

Julie married Peter Halka on July 26, 1980 in Norwalk, CT. They were happily married for 38 years. Julie is survived by her spouse, Peter Halka, of Westport; her daughter, Stephanie Wadolowski (Adam), of Norwalk; her son, Peter Halka, of Westport; her grandson, Carter Wadolowski; her siblings, Fausto Carusone (Stephanie), Joseph Carusone (Angela) and Faustina Zucaro (John); 7 nephews, and 1 niece. 

The family will receive friends at Harding Funeral Home in Westport, CT on Thursday, December 13th from 4-8PM. A funeral mass will be held at Assumption Church, 98 Riverside Avenue, Westport, CT on Friday, December 14th at 10 AM.

Interment will follow here in Willowbrook Cemetery.
