Obituary of Shirley D. Cromwell

NORWALK, CONN.

Shirley D. Cromwell, a longtime resident of Norwalk, transitioned peacefully on September 26, 2017.

She was born on July 4, 1949 in Farmville, North Carolina to Edward Harris and Mary Evelyn Rogers Harris. Mrs. Cromwell was married to George L. Cromwell of Norwalk, CT.

She retired from Southern New England Telephone Company after numerous years of service.

In addition to her husband Minister George L. Cromwell, her memory will be treasured by one daughter: Joy Candace Cromwell, two sons: Rasul Cromwell (Christina) and Jameel Cromwell, one stepdaughter: Venus Cromwell, ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one sister: Maggie Hunter, four brothers: Tyrone Harris, Rasheed Harris, Jimmy Harris (Maria) and Kareem Harris and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. followed by a service of celebration at 11:00 a.m. at Macedonia Church, 39 West Ave., Norwalk, CT with Pastor DeWitt Stevens, Jr. officiating.

Interment will follow at Willowbrook Cemetery, Westport.
