Obituary of Eleanor V. Knutson

MONROE, CONN Eleanor V. Knutson, age 89, of Monroe, Connecticut passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023. Born in Passaic, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Henry and Elsie Von Hassel. Eleanor worked at Wright Investors as an accountant. She was an avid gardener and loved planting flowers. Eleanor was very proud of her immaculate lawn that she worked on daily. Besides gardening, she enjoyed sitting by the pool while overlooking her immaculate back yard. Eleanor is survived by her daughter Brenda and her son Curt and his wife, Laura. Calling hours for Eleanor will be held Monday, September 18, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Spadaccino and Leo P. A funeral service will occur Monday, September 18, 2023 at 12:00 PM, Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, Connecticut 06468. A burial will follow on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Willowbrook Cemetery, 395 Main Street, Westport, Connecticut 06880.
