Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
NORTH GRANBY, CONN. Linda Therrien, fell asleep on February 2, 2024, to wait upon Christ’s return. She was born in Norwalk, CT on August 6, 1955 to Jane and Raymond Therrien. Surviving is her mother Jane Therrien of Simsbury, CT; her siblings: Irene (Thomas) McDonald of North Granby, CT; Joanne (Kevin) Smith of Lebanon, TN; Ray Therrien of Columbia, TN; Daryl (Brandy) Therrien of Charlotte, NC; and her 13 nieces and nephews and 11 great nieces and nephews. Linda was a graduate of Ridgefield High School and Norwalk State Technical College, where she majored in Computer Science. Her work experience included Systems Engineer, IT Support and Technical Support for numerous companies throughout her career. She retired May of 2023 after 5 years of service at ANI (American Nuclear Insurers) in Glastonbury, CT. Linda dedicated her life to multiple ministries and to her family. Linda was an active member of the Salvation Army Church in Hartford, CT. and of Celebrate Recovery, where she devoted her time and support to those around her. Linda’s faith inspired all those who met and knew her. She was a true disciple of the word of God and her faith was strong up until her last breath. Linda loved coloring bible-verse cards for all of those who needed inspiration and encouragement. Linda grew up having a vast love of sports including softball, field hockey, and basketball, which she participated in throughout her high school years. She was an avid football fan of the Dallas Cowboys. She enjoyed teaching her nieces and nephews baseball and would often engage them in a game of catch. Linda’s family and friends meant the world to her, and she never missed an important event. She often attended all the family birthday celebrations, holidays, ballet recitals/shows, and gymnastic meets. Although she didn’t have children of her own, she supported and loved her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, like they were her own. A special thank you to all the loving staff at Manchester Hartford Healthcare Cancer Center, especially Dr. Timothy Hong for the immense support, care and compassion they provided over the last two years of her cancer journey.
